Hand-held Laser Beam Welding - Best Practice

This International institute of Welding document presents general recommendations and best practice examples for laser safety, education, qualification, and metallurgical considerations related to hand-held laser welding (HLBW). Australian WHS regulations, e.g. for laser safety, must always be complied with. It should be used as a guideline for using HLBW in a safe manner with a variety of weld joints and materials. It is anticipated that this document will be updated periodically with further considerations that are yet to be found as the use of HLBW will continue to expand.
