Welding Workshop Supervisor

There currently exists a gap for welders who are required to perform the role of a supervisor but do not have or need to be certified to either AS 1796 Certificate 10 or AS 2214. The outcomes of this course meet the Australian metal fabrication industry requirement of having suitably qualified and experienced personnel performing the role of welding supervisor. The course needed to be available to personnel in regional and remote localities and include online or distance learning.

This qualification allows the participant to supervise Welding of Structural Steelwork to AS/NZS 1554.1 with the proviso that this is an acceptable qualification to the Principle in accordance with AS/NZS 1554.1 Section 4.12.1 Items (e), (f) or (h).

This course forms part of the requirement leading to the certification as a Welding Supervisor AS 1796 Cert 10 or AS 2214 after sitting the applicable examinations (conditions and prerequisites apply, contact us for details).

The course is completed by:

Completing the on-line learning modules and examinations;

Completing the distance learning material (assignments); and

Sitting the examination.

If you have doubts on eligibility for this course, please email me copies of resumes and any trade papers / qualifications you have, we will assess them and get back to you with regard to if the prerequisites are met. Please see course information attached.
